Denise Ilitch for Governor of Michigan?

Aaron Foley of MLive seems to think… maybe. I’m thinking, I’ll pass. The pizza heiress and sports-team magnate appears to be rumored for a run for Michigan’s top spot and Democrats on the national stage appear to be attracted to her candidacy for some reason.
Of course, she hasn’t announced and neither has former Piston Joe Dumars (another celebrity Democrat considering a run). But, hey – if you’ve got piles of money laying around why not run for governor? Especially if your deluded colleagues encourage you to! The funny thing is, I thought Michigan made itself pretty clear on rich, non-public servant candidates pretty resoundingly when we chose not to elect Dick DeVos.
